2013:
GivePower is Founded

One trip to Nicaragua sparks a bold idea: turning clean energy into lasting opportunity for communities around the world. This idea becomes GivePower.

2014:
GivePower’s First Official Volunteer Trek

GivePower's very first Trek begins at a single school in Haiti. Solar power opens new possibilities for its students — and sparks everything that follows. 

2015:
A Global Movement Grows

One Trek becomes many more. Soon, GivePower's mission reaches Kenya, Nepal, Haiti and Mexico, bringing volunteers and
communities together to power new possibilities.

2016:
GivePower Achieves 501 c3 Status

GivePower's nonprofit status marks a new chapter: clean energy begins reaching beyond classrooms, from healthcare and conservation to food security and agriculture.

2017:
Disaster Relief Through Solar

GivePower continues to expand, bringing solar-powered disaster relief to more than 83,000 people in Puerto Rico.

2018:
GivePower’s First Solar Water Farm

Kiunga, Kenya, becomes home to GivePower's first Solar Water Farm, where solar energy begins transforming salty, contaminated
water into safe drinking water.

2019:
The GivePartner Program Launches

The community continues to grow alongside the GivePower mission. Partners unite around a shared purpose: helping communities build brighter futures.

2020:
Resilience Through Uncertainty

When the world shut down, GivePower stood strong. GivePower launches Haiti’s first Solar Water Farm and powers over 50 rural schools.

2021:
1 Million Lives Positively Impacted

GivePower's work reaches 1 million people and is recognized with the Energy Globe Award.

2022:
A Growing Team for Greater Impact

With 100+ employees across 6 countries, GivePower continues to meet urgent needs worldwide, responding to Haiti's cholera outbreak and opening 4 Solar Water Farms.

2023:
100 GivePower Treks, Double the Water

As GivePower reaches 100 Treks, our safe water impact is doubled, growing from 100 million to 200 million liters distributed in just one year.

2024:
GivePower’s WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) Program

From 1,000 students in year one to 14,000+ in 2026, GivePower's WASH education program helps students build habits that protect entire communities.

2025:
Joining Changemakers in Action

GivePower joins MrBeast and Mark Rober in #TeamWater, the largest online fundraising campaign ever, raising over $40 million in one month for safe water.

2026:
Multiple Milestones Reached

GivePower celebrates 2.7+ million people impacted, 535+ million liters of safe water distributed, 150 Treks completed and 500,000 students’ lives are changed.
