GivePower and CAC Group Partner to Provide Clean Energy and Safe Water to the Chindi Community in Kenya

Austin,TX — [November 24, 2025]—GivePower and CAC Group are working together once again, making a life-changing impact on the Chindi Community in Kenya. This year, the organizations are funding a new Solar Impact Project that will provide safe drinking water to the local dispensary and public primary school.

The Chindi community is part of Kenya’s Kasemeni district, closest to the Tanzania border. It is one of the poorest communities in Kenya, and its residents face limited access to basic public services. The dispensary serves an average of 120 patients each day, while the public primary school educates hundreds of local children. Both facilities are vital to the community. However, lack of access to safe drinking water forces the community to rely on a nearby well that is unsuitable for human consumption and threatens their health. By installing a solar-powered reverse osmosis system, this project will provide safe drinking water for the dispensary staff, students, their families and the wider Chindi community.

This marks CAC Group’s third initiative with GivePower. In 2024, the company completed a week-long Corporate Trek to Chindi, where employees helped install solar off-grid systems for the local medical dispensary and primary school. Inspired by this experience, the company raised funds to make this new solar-powered water treatment system possible.

“Supporting GivePower underscores CAC Group’s commitment to creating meaningful change beyond our core business. This partnership reflects the gravity and responsibility of a for-profit company in dedicating its time and resources to meaningful efforts that truly make a difference. When we choose to give back, our impact, and ultimately our collective success, becomes exponential. Together, we are helping make a positive difference in communities both near and far,” said Rogelio Hernandez, Senior Vice President, Multinational, at CAC Group.

“This project demonstrates the power of long-term partnership and employee engagement,” said Michele Magee, President of GivePower. “CAC Group employees didn’t just visit Chindi once. They built relationships, saw the challenges firsthand and were determined to do more. The company’s continuous commitment is giving the Chindi community the resources needed to thrive.”

This collaboration ensures that the medical dispensary and school at the heart of the Chindi community will not only have the power to operate but also the safe, accessible water needed to strengthen health, education and opportunity for years to come.
